American Standard Heritage Heat Pumps matched with an American Standard Freedom gas furnace represent the most energy efficient way to heat and cool your home.
An American Standard Heritage® heat pump works year round to cool or heat your home depending on weather conditions. This works especially well in the Portland Oregon area. Our Northwest climate gives us hot summers even if much of the rest of the year is cooler. A heat pump can serve as one unit that will keep you cool and warm so it is a very efficient and cost effective way to deal with constantly changing weather conditions in the Portland Oregon area. Unlike a furnace, a heat pump doesn’t burn natural gas to create heat. It uses electricity. The Heat Pump is matched with one of our electric air handler, or if gas is available, to a Freedom gas furnaces for hybrid heating.
If outdoor temperatures drop below 35 degrees Ferinheight, the Heritage® heat pumps hand over the heating of your home to your gas furnace or the electric heat strips in an air handler take over. You will be able to tell how efficient the system is by the cost effectiveness of hybrid system. The full line of heat pumps offer efficiencies of 8.3 to 9.65 HSPF, and 13 to 20 SEER. With American Standard and our excellent service heat pump repairs will rarely be necessary.

American Standard Heritage Heat Pump Notice the durable louvered panels that protect the outdoor coil and compressor. We use our special patented system to manufacturer the outdoor coil system called Spine Fin Coils. It performs so well that it comes with a 10-Year warranty, as do our compressors. |

American Standard Heritage Heat Pump Coil Unit The indoor coil is the less visible half of your outdoor air conditioner or heat pump. Yet its job, heat transfer, is a key factor in keeping your home comfortable no matter what the season. Spine Fin coil is all aluminum (not copper and aluminum) which holds it efficiency over long periods of time, and has more leading edge for better efficiency than other plate fin coils. A good way to spot high efficiency. We use “environmentally friendly” R-410A refrigerant. |
| A heat pump does the job of an air conditioner and a furnace. But unlike a furnace, it doesn't burn fuel to create heat. It uses electricity to keep your home warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and comfortable all year round. American Standard's Heritage® heat pump family offers exclusive comfort technology and a range of options to give you the most quiet, efficient and comfortable home heating and cooling system you've ever experienced. |
